I AM A LOOKING TO GO

Becky Martin

Senior Manager of Reproductive Health Advocacy

Becky has been a community organizer and advocate for health justice, and equitable, high-quality, affordable health care for all for nearly 30 years. She joined 天胆A頭’s staff in 2018 and works with student leaders to develop 天胆A頭’s education and advocacy programs, and to support medical students who are eager to learn, network, and grow their skills and reshape healthcare to better serve all people.

Before joining 天胆A頭 she served as the Advocacy Director at the National Physicians Alliance, as well as Director of Project Management. At NPA she trained, organized, and supported physician advocates through their Copello Physicians Health Advocacy Fellowship and programs addressing: conflicts-of-interest in medicine with the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries, gun violence as a public health issue, state-house overreach into the exam room, and health care policy and practice reforms including efforts in support of passage, expansion, and protection of the Affordable Care Act. She also provided project development and delivery support for the NPA Promoting Good Stewardship in Medicine project that was inspired by the Physician Charter on Professionalism and provided a successful model for the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundations Choosing Wisely Campaign.

Prior to that Becky was the Outreach & Education Coordinator at the Universal Health Care Action Network (UHCAN) where she worked to engage state and national social justice organizations in efforts to guarantee health care for all.
