Å·ÃÀAƬ

Shamik joined Å·ÃÀAƬ in 2022 as co-chair of Å·ÃÀAƬ’s PharmFree project, a bold initiative to investigate and reduce medical education’s ties to the pharmaceutical industry. He is a 2021 graduate of the University of Colorado Denver, where he interned at the state legislature alongside his pre-medical studies and first discovered his interest in health policy. Now a second-year medical student at Yale, Shamik has continued investigating the pharmaceutical industry with faculty leaders and hopes to tie his health policy interests into his clinical ones. After serving as co-president of Yale’s Å·ÃÀAƬ Chapter in the 2021-2022 school year, Shamik decided to expand his involvement by joining the national organization; he looks forward to continuing Å·ÃÀAƬ’s invaluable work!
